It's weekend!

Friday night....... kick of your shoes, pour a glass of wine (or tea or whatever tickles your fancy) and relax!

I baked myself a cake today! I've been in the mood for a nice sponge cake for weeks now. Most of the time I bake chocolate cake, as that is my family's favourite. And living in a house full of men, there's not a lot of pink going around when it comes to cake decorating. However today I decided to treat myself. Not only did I make a sponge cake, but I also went all out with a soft, creamy, pink icing!

And then I put my feet up and relaxed with a nice cup of tea and some cake! Bliss!

Now I think it's time for that glass of wine and some delicious home-made Lasagne!

It's been a while...

Hello everyone!

Yes it's been quite a while since I last posted. I am however seeing the light again and thought I'd pop in just to let you know I'm still here and kicking!

Watching my son prepare for his final GCSE Art exam next week, with art materials all over the place, has put me in the mood for drawing. One of my favourite mediums to work in is charcoal. Here is a daisy I did last week.

Winter Blues

Hello all you lovely people! And how are you all doing? Personally I'm suffering from a serious bout of the winter blues at the moment. My creativity levels are below zero and I'm really struggling to cope with the lack of sunshine. But, as we all know, seasons don't last for ever, and hopefully I'll be back to my normal self  
soon. Tomorrow is my birthday, so maybe that will cheer me up!

The world of miniatures

Well, I know it's February already, but seeing as this is my first post for the year, let me just wish all of you the very best for 2013!! I'm back from a much needed break, so hopefully we will see some action here from now on.

At the moment I am very busy painting. I've stumbled upon the world of miniatures last year, and I am completely hooked. I am having so much fun creating stock for Little Canvas, can't wait to relaunch the website. Hopefully soon! Here is a rooster I just finished this morning (4x4cm) :
