Decoupage project

So, it’s Friday…. again! I know, I have been complaining a lot about this time flying “thing” lately. I’m really trying not to focus on it so much, but it is hard when every time I blink….. it’s Friday again! Anyhoooo,it started raining about three weeks ago here in the UK, and it has been going on and off since then, not a day without rain. Sunshine one moment, dark clouds and pouring rain the next.  Man, this  weather really gets to me (and my family) sometimes!

Today I’m not in the mood for anything specific (most definitely not work in any case, ha-ha). It’s one of those – keeping busy, but not really doing anything - days! So I’ve decided to see if I can finish my decoupage project which I started a few weeks ago. I haven’t done decoupage in ages, so I’m really enjoying it.  Fact is, halfway through I got stuck and I’ve only just decided what exactly I want to do with it. It’s a reuse project, so I’m only using items I already have in the home. I will show you the finished product once I’m done. Here are some of the materials. Isn't this the most gorgeous serviette?

What fun things are you all up to this weekend?

Rainbows and Blossoms

Don't you just love a beautiful rainbow? We saw a nice one yesterday. And even though it disappeared only a few minutes later, I did manage to grab the camera and take a few photos!

And all over town there are these trees (unfortunately I don't know exactly what tree it is) with the most gorgeous pink blossoms! Aren't they lovely?

Hope you're all having a great weekend!

It's that time of year...

When the Rapeseed Oil Crops can be seen everywhere. And I just love love love it!!! Since we moved here four and a half years ago I have taken so many photos of the crops every April. I just can't help myself! It looks like someone spread gorgeous yummy butter all over the fields.

I've tried to keep it to a minimum, but be prepared for yellow flower overload.........!

Colour Inspiration: Turquoise

I am crazy in love with turquoise at the moment! (Bet you can tell from the colour scheme of my blog, ha-ha)  Here's but a few of the many shades:

It is just such a lovely, vibrant colour. It always makes me smile.

It can also be combined with so many other colours. Personally I love turquoise with red and orange. I have this gorgeous fabric that I want to make a tablecloth from.

And this pretty scrapbook paper that I plan on using for my living room. Maybe in a nice picture frame?

What is your favourite colour at the moment?
