A miserable day

It's one of those days when the only thing you really want to do is curl up in front of the TV with a bowl of popcorn and watch a nice film ....... or maybe snuggle up with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book! Thank goodness Hubby is on leave and can pick the children up from school with the car, so we don't have to walk in this miserable, grey, windy weather! I simply hate it!

On Sunday we had a beautiful sunny day. Freezing cold, but lovely. I went for tea with a friend at a garden centre, and afterwards we went for a stroll. Just a nice, relaxing Sunday afternoon and with the sun shining so bright , the cold wind didn't even bother us that much!

Next week sees the beginning of March already, which means spring is on the way! I love spring! All the nice flowers and blooms springing up all over the place, the lovely mild weather and the promise of warm summer days and new beginnings in the air.

Picking up where I left off

It's been some time since I last posted on this blog. 2011 was.... well, lets just say it was not an easy year for us. However, I am slowly but surely picking up the pace again, and hopefully I will get to write more in 2012.

At the moment it is very cold here, and with more snow forecast for tonight and tomorrow it will probably stay like that for the next week or so. But I take it in my stride, as we have been lucky so far with a mild winter in the UK this year and spring is not that far off! And of course..... I love taking pictures of the snow!
