Up-cycled lamp shade and glass bottle

I've had this bedside lamp for many years, so it was getting a bit tired and I've been meaning to do something to it for quite a while now. I didn't want to paint the base, as I love the dark wood, but I did want to spruce up the shade a bit. This weekend I finally got around to it. Made a little "skirt" and flower with chiffon and added a bit of trim. Seems I'm going all girlie in my old age! haha I'm very happy with how it turned out!

I made the flower using this tutorial from Love Maegen: Chiffon flower

This is how it looked before

And after

While I was at it, I thought I might as well prettify this
glass bottle I bought ... 22 years ago!
I just added a bit of ribbon, lace, charms and flowers.

A pretty pink and romantic corner in my bedroom.
The lamp now gives a lovely soft, rosy glow to the room.
Love it!

  2. The glass bottles are the very best source for storing the any liquid form of material such as oil, ketchup and etc. These glass bottles can easily get form the scrap material but you have to wash or clean it again for it further use, but if you don’t want to use the old glass bottles again then you can buy glass bottles online.
